Ufone SMS Packages

Ufone SMS bundles include off-net messages — texts to Jazz, Telenor and Zong — that competitor bundles usually exclude. Here is the full list.

Ufone SMS packages occupy an interesting middle ground in Pakistan's telecom market — slightly more expensive than Telenor's equivalents but with better off-net coverage and stronger spam protection. For Ufone users sending mostly within Pakistan to mixed networks, the SMS bundles below offer some of the best per-message pricing in the country, particularly the monthly tier.

Who benefits from Ufone SMS packages

Ufone SMS bundles work well for these kinds of users:

If your messaging is entirely on WhatsApp and you only send occasional SMS to receive bank OTPs (which are free to receive), you do not need a Ufone SMS bundle. Pay-as-you-go is fine for low volumes.

Before you subscribe to any SMS bundle

The first thing to know about Ufone SMS bundles is the off-net split. Unlike competitors, Ufone includes a meaningful off-net allowance in their bundles — usually 50 to 200 off-net SMS depending on the tier. If you text Jazz or Telenor numbers regularly, Ufone gives you more useful messages per rupee than the same-sized Jazz or Telenor bundle.

The second thing is the character limit math. A standard English SMS is 160 characters per message. Urdu (and any text containing emojis) switches to Unicode encoding, which limits each SMS to 70 characters. If your Urdu message is 71 characters, it counts as two messages from your bundle. Plain English messages are always more bundle-efficient.

The third thing is Ufone's anti-spam protection. The carrier blocks any number sending more than 30 identical or near-identical messages within ten minutes. The bundle does not bypass this block — if you trigger the limit, the bundle stays intact but your messages get queued and held until the block lifts.

One useful detail: Ufone SMS bundles work even when you have zero main balance. As long as the bundle is active and has messages remaining, you can send SMS without needing to top up. This matters when you are away from a top-up shop and need to send a quick text.

Current Ufone SMS packages

The bundles below are the standard nationwide Ufone SMS offers in 2026. The 'on-net + off-net' split is unusual for Pakistani SMS bundles — competitors typically give only on-net minutes, so the Ufone off-net allowance is one of the network's distinguishing features.

The Monthly SMS Mega bundle includes 1 GB of mobile data on top of the SMS allowance. If you do not have a separate Ufone internet bundle, this works out as a hybrid SMS + data plan for Rs. 140 — surprisingly good value if you want both.

How to activate a Ufone SMS bundle

  1. Check balance

Dial *124# to view your Ufone balance. SMS bundles are cheap, but the system still needs the full amount available before it will activate.

  2. Dial the bundle code

Enter the code from the table exactly as written. Ufone's SMS codes are short — most start with *337, *3030 or *7676. Press call.

  3. Confirm if prompted

Some codes show an interactive menu before activation. Read it carefully — Ufone often offers upgrades in the same menu. Pick the number matching the bundle you originally wanted.

  4. Test by sending one SMS

Send a single test SMS to a friend. The bundle should immediately deduct one message from the count rather than charging your main balance. If you see the standard pay-as-you-go deduction, the bundle did not activate — re-dial the code.

Ufone SMS FAQs

One more thing about Ufone SMS

Ufone has historically marketed its SMS bundles to a small business audience — boutique owners, tutors, real estate agents, parlours — more than to consumers. This is why the bundles include the off-net SMS allowances that other networks do not bother with. If your usage pattern is mostly personal messaging between family and friends, you might find a Jazz or Telenor bundle cheaper for the same volume. If your SMS sending is genuinely business-related, Ufone is hard to beat.

The bundle prices and codes above are current as of early 2026. Ufone updates pricing every couple of quarters — the *888# menu always shows the live price on your specific SIM, including any regional offers that may not be advertised nationally.
